I'm Cindy — nice to meet you! ⭐
I am a grad student in the Human-Centered Design & Engineering program at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Right after receiving my Bachelors degree in Informatics, I joined Microsoft as a Customer Success Account Manager in the enterprise sales department. I am grateful for this role as it taught me how to advocate for a business as users and develop strategic outcomes for their needs.
Today, I am super excited to utilize my experience to pivot from sales into product design. I have a lot of room to grow in the product space... but one thing I do know: I want to collaborate with people and iterate ideas into real, viable solutions.
In the outside world, I am a marathon runner🏃🏻♀️➡️, a travel enthusiast 🌎, and an aspiring builder 💭.
(for fun, of course)

Wait… why design?
Going from sales → product design may seem like there is no correlation to one another. However, I found that it's all connected — the way I understand my customers determines how I can impact their experience, and make it better.

Something I value is exploring the connections between people and their interaction with the world. How can one choice lead to another, and what impact does the result make? By understanding how humans choose to interact with each other, we can also discover what choices we make with technology and challenge today’s design systems to continue to be more intuitive for all.
